A big online meeting to celebrate 38th anniversary of the Soviet Alumni Association, Bangladesh (SAAB).

On August 7, Soviet Alumni Association, Bangladesh (SAAB), led by Engr. Taqsem Khan, held a solemn online conference to mark the 38th anniversary of its activities. Bengalis soviet graduates living abroad (Russia, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Qatar, Ukraine) and some Soviet Alumni Associations from China, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka congratulated SAAB on this significant date. In their speeches, they emphasized that all of them are united by the high-quality Soviet education received before, which permitted many of them to achieve professional success and get high-level posts in both state and private structures. In his welcoming speech, Bengali Honorable Minister of Agriculture Mohammad Abdur Razzak noted the enduring role of the USSR in building an independent Bangladesh, as well in providing Scholarships for Bangladeshi meritorious students to create a prosperous and moving ahead country.

L.I. Efremova, Chairperson of Inkorvuz, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of the RUDN University, spoke about the great work done by Soviet graduates in promoting modern Russian education and called on them to be ambassadors of Russian universities in their respective countries. The Chairman of the Council of Alumni and friends Association of RUDN (PFUR) Engr. Alamgir Jalil also attended the webinar. Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Dhaka M.E.Dobrokhotov expressed hope for further friendly fruitful cooperation and conveyed congratulations and wishes of success from the Ambassador of Russia in Bangladesh A. I. Ignatov.
