Parade of Victors

On June 24, 1945 Moscow's Red Square hosted the first historical Victory Parade. The parade was reviewed by the outstanding marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov, and the troops were commanded by Marshal Konstantin Rokossovsky. About 35 thousand military took part in the solemn procession. It lasted 2 hours (122 minutes) in the pouring rain, but people filling the Red Square did not notice it.

The military parade on June 24, 1945 was a triumph of the victorious people, the military art of the Soviet commanders, all the Armed Forces, their fighting spirit.
