On February 18, negotiations were held with the Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB), which is the largest private university of the country. The vice-chancellor Milan Pagon expressed deep interest in promoting Russian culture and Russian education, and also declared readiness to conduct various joint programs aimed at achieving educational goals. In particular, he noted the need for a comprehensive approach in covering historical events and preventing attempts to falsify facts, mentioning in this connection pro-Western interpretations of World War II episodes. Speaking about linguistic diversity, the vice-chancellor spoke about clubs of the French, English and Chinese languages operating in the IUB, suggesting that the appropriate accumulated practice will make possible to open the "Cabinet of the Russian World". He also did not exclude in the future the possibility of including the Russian language in the regular program of the University, subject to appropriate demand.
